On April 15, 2021, the Philippines submitted its updated NDC. 

The 2020 NDC advances by establishing an unconditional target that, although small, was not included in the previous version. The NDC also emphasizes public-private sector collaboration and social issues.

According to the Checklist for the NDCs We Want and taking and into account that the Philippines is a vulnerable country with a lower-middle economy and represents around 0.35% of global emissions, we consider that the 2020 NDC has Some Way to Go to become the NDC We Want.
